This Bolder sample set consists of 12 charming Christmas Bells which are attached to a mechanical sequencer of sorts. The bells are tuned to C5, D5, E5, F5, F#5, G5, A5, Bb5, C6, D6, and E6. I extended the mapping of the lowest sample to A4 and the highest sample to G6 for more flexibility. When put in play mode the sequencer sends a signal to the bell’s ‘clapper’ to play the corresponding bell for the correct note. The play list includes all your typical Holiday favorites like Joy To The World, I Saw Three Ships etc …
For purposes of sampling, I did not use the mechanical sequencer at all. Instead I just flicked the clapper with my finger while each bell was suspended from a mic stand. For each bell 2 articulations were sampled – hits with long full decays and muted hits. For each articulation of each note, 3 samples are rotated in Round Robin fashion. When you repeat the same note, a new sample is triggered in a rotating cycle of 3 different samples. The difference in sound is subtle but effective. Both the EXS24 and Kontakt support this programming feature. So, we end up with 72, 24 bit stereo pristine Christmas Bell samples in this sample set.

I found this little vuvuzela in a supermarket and since it immediately got my son´s attention I bought it. The sound ? You know… vuvuzela. Just a simple whistle, the younger brother of the real vuvuzelas, which can damage not only your hearing, but also a football tournament ! :-) This little disaster produces single nasty high pitched tone, which only me and my son seem to like in our entire family. (… or our town ?) Anyway… this little whistle sampling came out quite interestingly and although here you get only one patch and in spite of all being said about nasty sound and gnats :-), it sounds nice and I believe can be useful. There are 4 RR and a bunch of effects to help you customize the sound to your liking. A slight arabian/african flavour is present, what I personally like the most about it. So… give it a shot and have fun ! :-)

I found this thing on my way to a workplace. There is an old abandoned crypt in our town cemetery with a big rusted sign above its entrance. “You, who does not like obscure virtual instruments, shall not pass !” strange inscription says. A long stone stairway leads your steps down to the underground. Oh my… What should I do ?! After hesitating for a second (listening to the Titanic soundtrack on my mp3 player) I have responded to an explorer’s urge and stepped out in to the wet darkness. Immediately, very strange feeling captured me… I have reached the bottom finally. An old, ruined oltar in front of me, with the stone pedestal right next to it. Another strange writing carved there: “Let go of your reputation and take this gift from the underworld. Use it wisely, on special occassions only ! And don’t forget to tell the world.” I closed my eys for a while and did… Then I had felt like something heavy fell off of me and suddenly… I have noticed something lying on that pedestal. A 128 MB FLASH DRIVE ! With ‘For NI Kontakt 5′ words carved on one side. I took it with shaky hands and run home thrilled, eager to explore…

Bugfixes:

About Extreme
Extreme uses samples/waveforms as the oscillator source. In addition, there’s an ensemble section which can multiply the oscillator source into 6 different oscillators, which gives Extreme a very thick and punchy sound. The waveforms/samples can be categorized as distorted, big, punchy, noisy and wicked, appealing to musicians who need a unique tool which sounds different compared with the average software synthesizers on the market. Extreme features one resonant lowpass filter per voice. And there’s a traditional amplitude envelope as well. And pitch modulation (LFO). There’s a stereo delay (one for the left and one for the right stereo channel). In addition, Extreme includes an ensemble unit which multiplies the oscillator into six oscillators which can be detuned (the amount control) and mixed with the original voice.
Effects
The effect section in Extreme is quite comprehensive. We have included a resonator, a flanger, reverb, a pitch shifter, amplitude modulator and even a sub oscillator. And there are several filter banks and bandpass filters. Now as if this isn’t enough, these can be used in series or layered to create thick effects. Alright, you say, but hold on. There’s more. These effects can be cross faded as well. Yes, there are effect modes which let you, say, crossfade between the resonator and a flanging effect. Or crossfade between the flanger and a filter bank.
Voices
You may configure Extreme so it gives you any number of voices your computer can handle (depending on how fast it is). Or you can set a fixed limit if you don’t want to allocate more than a certain number of voices for Extreme.
MIDI Controllers
The plugin has a learn mode for MIDI controllers. Just click on the learn button, turn a particular software knob, which you want to control, and then turn a hardware knob on your controller. Then the plugin has learnt that this hardware knob will control this software knob. Can’t be easier. You can also use the learn function to draw controller waveforms in your MIDI sequencer.
Selecting Patches
There’s a drop down menu which you use to select patches. Instead of selecting from the drop down menu you may also hit the increment or decrement buttons to step one preset forward or backward.
Other
There’s a 4th order lowpass filter with resonance, which can be controlled by an envelope. In addition, MIDI velocity may control the filter cutoff frequency. If you don’t like volume velocity then you may reduce the volume velocity or turn it off completely. The plugin includes an LFO for pitch modulation and another LFO for effect modulation. The effect LFO has many shapes to choose from, for example triangle, saw and stepped waveforms.

The Vintage EQ gets its name from the warmth and character you hear when passing a signal through this EQ. Any mastering or recording engineer worth his weight in salt will know that when using a “standard” digital EQ, the frequency response approaches 0dB and the signal frequency approaches the Nyquist frequency.
This is not the way analogue equalizers behave and the Vintage EQ solves this problem by using an advanced filter algorithm that produces a curve that is not 100% symmetrical, producing a desired “vintage” sound. Another very important element to this EQ is that unlike its competitors, the Vintage EQ does not use oversampling, since that would require down-sampling and pre-filtering (to avoid aliasing) which in turn would ruin the sound.
Signals Analyzer – it is the program, which is designed for the very qualitative analysis of different signals. The main area of SA application is the analysis of unknown or unclear, strange signals. The overwhelming majority of the existing analyzers do not have powerful and convenient possibilities for the real qualitative analysis. Such analyzers are providing poor set of tools, or even reducing the analysis to simple sort out of the known signals in real time.
Such approach, first of all, does not provide reliability of the analysis, and in the second, it does make the analysis of really unknown or distorted signals impossible. SA is the multi-discipline offline analyzer. SA does not limit possibilities of an analyst. The number of the unique tools and solutions bring out the SA program in absolutely other class of analyzers, giving to analytics possibilities, which are unavailable in other products, and allows to take precise characteristics of FSK, MFSK, PSK, QAM, OFDM signals and of their various combinations and modifications.
SA gives an ability to work with both *.wav files, which are standardly used as a working material, and I/Q data(I/Q is surely very progressive),which is widely adopted in SDR technology and various receiving complexes.
